“I am fascinated by smiles and joy. My paintings, whether in the format of portraits, murals, or applied to various textiles, aim to capture people in their happiest moments. Against brightly coloured abstract, contemporary, and figurative backgrounds, using oil pastel, acrylic and spray paint, my work connects with collectors who yearn for the unfettered joy of childhood and hope for a better future.”

A graduate of the University of Miami, Andrew is a Miami-based artist better known as "Hayze", and though the son of an artist, he initially struggled with the decision to pursue art. As he grew older, however, art became an itch that only painting could scratch.

“Fast forward, exploring this art vehicle through many mediums, I have come a long way since those humble college beginnings, and am always excited for the growth around the next corner. Spray painting 3,000 square feet of vertical surface has a way of putting a lot of things into perspective. Creating the concept, organizing the logistics that heavily mirror a construction project, and executing the vision that starts on a single sheet of paper to me is magic.

And then there are the people I’ve been honoured to meet along the way. Whether local municipalities, restaurants, bars, workout spaces, banks, sports teams and a vast network of artists and creatives shaping my dream into the career I never thought possible.“

The name, Hayze, implies something translucent or unclear until the final result is complete, a beauty that can’t be grasped, only reached for, like a cloud.
